NOTE: New Florida Bass Length Limit In Affect. Keep 4 any length under 16″ and only one allowed over 16″. Effective July 1st, 2016
While snowbirds are visiting family & friends to the north & beyond, some of us are enjoying the cool crisp mornings waking up in 321?? zip code….NOT….living near the equator can be good in February, but this time of year can be brutal. I had 95.2 surface water temp on July 7 on Lake Griffin. Still managed to promote a strike from a 3.6 lbr on a lipless.
The pic of the fingerling was no surprise to me….not that I found it floating but that it even exists. There’s plenty of bass in Lake Griffin and although challenging at times, rest assured they’re still there & reproducing. I’ve not seen any stocking reports recently so figure this guy was a natural.
Below are Barksdale Brothers (L) Jim & Wayne showing their, speaking for myself, normal size bass they caught while fishing in Missouri. Sure do miss catching smallmouth.
(L) Nashville native, Danny Barksdale, crawling a bait ever so slowly conjured up this “ALMOST” Trophy Catch
If you want logos put on at Custom Apparel in Southern Trace Plaza next to Publix (3451 Wedgewood Ln), expect them to be busy. School is about to start & they do a booming business this time of year. What’s nice is the garment & hat is of your choice & design. Our logo is pictured below and looks good on any shirt & hat.
Our summer break is quickly coming to an end. The 2016/2017 season will feature something for all & will surely meet your approval. Remember we have new officers starting in September, we’re always looking for volunteers, and if you have any pictures contact us. We’ll be more than happy to make you world famous or as some prefer, keep you in the witness protection program and not tell your “SECRET SPOT”.
