I went to Lake Miona to check the water level hoping to see a substantial rise after all the rain we’ve had. It was only 49.6, which was disappointing. The last time I recorded something over 50 feet was 2010. From 2006 to 2010, it was consistently above 50 feet, about 51.5 feet on an average, or 2 feet higher than for the last four years. The low of record is 47.88 feet occurring on May 23, 2002 and equaled on May 24, 2012.
At least the floating dock is floating and not resting on bottom, as I have seen it.
There were two guys fishing from the dock. One, Floyd McElrath, near,
had caught a couple of Bass on a Senko-type worm using a spinning reel with braid. He sent me a couple of pictures of Bass he’d caught previously off the dock. (Click on the pictures to see a larger version and a caption.)
