Camp Villages – Fishing Day, June 10, 2014

The Villages Recreation Department sponsors “Camp Villages” each summer to entertain children who are visiting residents. Volunteers from The Villages Freshwater Fishing Club assist in providing the activities of the morning.  The activities include casting, fishing, knot tying and kayak fishing introduction. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) participates and provides information about fish species and fish biology.  The Village Clowns provide face painting to those who desired.

The children were divided into groups, each group wearing different color caps. The groups were guided through the various information and activity stations.
