The First Annual Lake County Sheriff’s Office bass tournament was launched from Hickory Point Park on Lake Harris. 59 boats faced blue skies with temps predicted to be in upper 60’s plus a wind advisory. You had to feel for the smaller boats because of the beating they had taken ALL day. Strong powerful batteries & trolling motors were a must along with a Power Pole or Minn Kota Talon that are both shallow water anchor systems.
Regardless of how good or bad the weather is, someone always finds the fish and today was no exception. Although these weights are good by any standards, the Harris Chain has been known to produce 5 fish sacks near 40 lbs.
